Stain on the tablecloth

I organized a weekday dinner for my friends and cooked a tasty vegetable casserole with beetroot. You can guess what happened. Red beetroot fell on the tablecloth. Sad to have a stain on the tablecloth but even more sad to see my friend upset.

The right technique for stain removal

I am a home economics teacher and remember how we at the university were instructed to remove stains. First, the stain should be surrounded by stain remover to make it smaller. Then the stain is rubbed with the same substance. And then the textile is washed. Sim sala bim, the stain is gone and my friend is relieved.

This is what I did: I blended a mixture of water and Vanish powder on the lid of the container, dipped a towel in it and surrounded the stain with the solution. Then I rubbed the stain with the solution.

Where to get it?

I absolutely trust Vanish and want it to always be on the shelf in my utility room. If you are missing a can or are running low, here is a link to the product (Amazon affiliate partnership).
